Galvanick CEO Joshua Steinman delivered expert testimony last week before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, addressing urgent cybersecurity challenges facing America's critical infrastructure.

Drawing on his experience as former White House National Security Council Senior Director for Cyber, Steinman informed lawmakers that cyber threats to critical infrastructure extend well beyond telecommunications, affecting transportation, water, power, sewer, and the defense industrial base.
In his testimony, Steinman emphasized that foreign adversaries are deliberately and regularly interrogating critical infrastructure facilities across the United States, many of which are not well defended. He noted that "our adversaries take advantage of the fact that we've essentially built out America's critical infrastructure from a digital perspective without a sort of wartime footing."
Steinman explained that this situation has enabled foreign adversaries to establish positions within American critical infrastructure, creating the possibility for them to conduct attacks at times and places of their choosing.
The hearing examined how federal agencies can better counter state-sponsored cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure. Steinman's insights highlighted the importance of proactive security measures and the need for systems designed to operate during conflict rather than solely in peacetime conditions.
